I was turned away from a forum because one, I didn't want to submit a profile because I knew that they'd over-critique it and I'd have no chance, but they also told me that I couldn't roleplay with my mutantblooded troll, and is was just wondering if that would be an okay thing to do here. He has a hemomutation, as well as physical mutations. I mean, it's not like he has four arms or anything, but it's obvious that he's not normal.
is it alright if I use a character like him here? I just really love mutantblooded fantrolls.

Our general rule for characters is inclusivity. We wanted to avoid the sort of nitpickiness in character acceptance that we saw in other fantroll RPing venues, so any troll is welcome here! I'd say go right ahead. It helps if you're able to justify why the character is a mutantblood and how that affects him, but we won't kick you out if you can't.

Heyo! Resident Mutant Troller here. physical mutations at the very least are absolutely fine, heck this whole fourm was more or less made because those of us who started this place didn't like how people were treating my three-eyed fantroll. As for blood mutations, personally I’m a little iffy on blood colour mutations, however this is a place of acceptance and roleplay, so all in all i can only say go for it, I’ve already seen somebody submit at least two mutant blooded trolls already, so I’m sure you'd fit right in either way.

I mean, it's not like he has black blood or that ridiculous rainbow blood nonsense. I have everything justified for him because I knew that it would be silly to just have a mutantblood and not have a valid reason. But that reason still wasn't good enough for that other forum, so I wasn't able to try it out.

Yeah some places seem to use a no mutations at all policy but here we try to avoid that as much as we can. Heck I had trouble getting my little orangeblood in some places for that reason.

Well I feel as long as the mutation is not incredibly ridiculous and its decent then feel free to rp the troll! But we hold a strict policy of no put downs on any character and we always welcome any troll, mutated or not!
Hell my troll is a mutant, he has a height fault where he is only 4'6 and he's old enough to head to the fleet!! XD

"Don't be a dick" is more or less the biggest rule here i think And beleive it or not i actually have a Troll with black blood! Though she is a robot, so i think that gives her a pass. come to think of it i think i decided to make her a robot just so i could get away with it back when she was just a sparkle in my eye.

I'm probably gonna sound dumb just saying this, but what is exactly wrong with black blood?

The only Homestuck character with black blood is His Honourable Tyranny, who's not a troll. I think the main reason it's frowned upon is that it's gained a reputation amongst a large portion of the Homestuck fanbase, similar to rainbow-blooded fantrolls, as a lazy way to make your OC more 'special'.

Aye, and it's not really on the caste system as we know it, though i suppose one could make the arguement of the "black" blood being just a really really dark purple or something. fun fact, when i first made the troll shown in my avatar, the origional concept behind her was "i want a justified "black blood" troll. so i made her not technechly a troll at all, but a robot that has a black fluid running through her that merely ACTS like blood

I don't really think it's fair to frown upon mutant blood fantrolls. I mean, it's not like they're OP or have omnipotent powers that blow up planets by sneezing. I don't see what's wrong with them. Karkat's a mutant blood, and we all love him. Sure these fantrolls would be hunted down by troll society, but not by the RP community as well.

Well, if the rp wanted to be completely true to the culture, the mutantbloods would need a way to hide their blood colour. We, as people, don't frown upon it, but those trolls who flaunt their mutant coloured blood would have been culled before they could enter a session.

The only things I've really seen with Beforus were a few things in Canon and an rp by Jaye, which is back on the MSPAF site, i think. I'd say that mutants were welcomed into society on Beforus.

Well, mutants were a lot more susceptible to culling on Beforus, which is a key part of Kankri's personality (trying to prove that he can stand on his own without a highblood coddling him).
OT, what everybody else said.
