Hey guys. So first off i just wanted you to know that we all appreciate the input you have given, and continue to give us through the link GM provided in both chats and the shoutbox earlier. We're taking everything into consideration, and while things are unfortunately going less smoothly then we'd hoped, we're working on fixing as many of the issues as we can that you've pointed out for us... except for the Illuminati. We can't do anything about that.
That said there is one message in there that i would like to address, not the whole thing, but rather the opening sentence of it. To quote.
The inherent problem with hivestuck is that it sort of feels like it was made / founded by the people who were shunned out of the homestuck RP community on MSPA (Because people didn't want to play with them)
while the bracketed portion isn't entirely relevant, i just wanted to point out that... well, yes. This is exactly the case. Hivestuck was made, and founded, because myself, Wycca, and many others felt like the MSPA community, particularly the cafe community and the admins at the time, were being unreasonable one way or the other, be it regarding acceptable fantrolls, abuse of power, or merely being overly strict.
Hivestuck WAS founded by those who felt shunned out of the MSPA community, it exists because we wanted a safe place to roleplay in peace, where our characters could be who they are and what they are without getting into heated and daily arguments about it. And I’m sorry if this bothers you but... that's just what this is. Hivestuck exists to be a safe place for fantrolling, we've have our spouts, and our “Great Split” as some of us call it, and even whole threads collapsing in on themselves due to players butting heads with each other. But the one thing that's kept this whole place floating as long as it has was the friendships we've created over the years between us, many of us the mod team you see now, with exception to our newer members.
So unfortunately anon, I’m afraid that whatever problem you have with Hivestuck existing as a place where the shunned came to get away from the MSPA forums... you'll just have to accept it, because that's exactly what this place is. We're doing our best to make everyone as comfortable as we can here, to the point of our one overlying rule, “don't be a dick”. Above all else we ask that you just be polite and considerate to your fellow players, because that's what roleplay is about, having fun and building friendships. That's not to say you can't have disagreements, but if that's the case, back off. If someone tells you to stop, you stop. If someone is bothering you or disagrees with you, you leave the situation.
We ask of you to please understand, this is not MSPA, this is Hivestuck, it always has been, and it always will be. You came to us when MSPA shut down, and we're working as hard as we can to ensure that you're comfortable here, but you need to understand and accept the origins of this place, because it is not going to become a new MSPA, that's exactly what this place was created to escape.
