I've drawn all my life, but nary a single human until less than a year ago, I just never found them interesting enough and just wanted to draw animals instead. Homestuck has honestly helped a lot by getting me inspired and I've gone from a strict "No-Homo....sapien" policy, to at least a human a day in order to improve.

The also sort of serve to show that my comfort zone really does still lie in the animal kingdom though....

Some work for the "Boredstuck" drawing challenge given to me by a friend of mine. "Draw the characters as if they were just hanging out alone being bored."

Also, on a scale of how utterly trashy I am in this fandom. I'm about Aquariumstuck levels.

And finally, my greatest shame. I did finally cave.... and make a fantroll. Now hold on a second, there's a little backstory here!

I already have a main artistic person/fursona character that I use to represent myself online and in my works named Cinder who I've been tweaking and using for years. Part of that fun was, given her peculiar design (a human-animal mutant) I've always made a sort of personal game/challenge out of trying to find a creative and believable way to work her into whatever universe I was currently immersed in the story of.

Skip this paragraph to skip boring story examples: 

In Soul Eater, she's a half-kishin who started down the path away from humanity with a small gang of her friends, only to panic and bail out when she really got a feel for what they were doing, coming away mostly human, but still with inhuman features. In TF2 she's a lab mutant who escaped experimentation only to be found living in the woods by Saxton Hail while he was out looking for Bigfoot or something. (the escaped mutant thing is her default backstory so it tends to be a running theme) There's a ton of backstories. I've never really gone into the realm of fanfiction or fanart with these much, it was more of a writing exercise for myself just to see if I could make it make sense. My obsession with Homestuck has been no exception. In this writing game of mine, Cinder is a member of a totally separate alien race from a totally separate session from any of the canon events. I've had a lot of fun with that species' lore and I'm not going to go into it here but essentially things went south in her session thanks to rising tension and turmoil among her group of players, forcing her to make a deal with her denizen to flee to a new session (the canon session because it's a crummy OC and otherwise what's the point) at the cost of leaving her friends to their doomed fate.

Back in business:

I wasn't going to bore anyone with all that rubbish in a roleplay setting though so I finally just caved and made a fantroll. She is pretty much just a literal re-color of Cinder without the animal features and added deer antlers because I, in real life, am actually very fond of deer hunting and am rather proud of the pursuit. The blatent recolor goes so far as to have both her first and last names, Dincre Rednic, just be scrambled versions of the name Cinder.

And yes, I was so apposed to making a fan troll that I felt all of this elaborate backstory was entirely necessary, I low-key hate myself for this.

On the bright side, we FINALLY get to see my digital work. or at least the half-assed version....
