Today is the big day. That MMORPG game comes out, and you already have it pre-ordered to ship straight to you. Well, you did. It came about an hour ago, you loaded it right away, you put on the play-gear, and entered the game. You do find it a little strange that there was no beta for the game, but that doesn't really matter much to you, you enjoy the surprise of a new game. You couldn't believe the lack of content leaked to the public in the weeks before this release, no one knew anything about it. It was all over social media when they started arriving how the gear would make it very immersive. But here you stand, in an empty room, your body looking very flat, with just a basic outline. It was getting more accurate though, as the play-gear scanned recent memories of yourself to build your character as accurately as possible. You're not sure how you feel about this either, it's a little intrusive. But, as soon as you start to have doubts, a window pops up, 10 minutes until the game starts. It asks you for a weapon choice, giving a long list of basic weaponry, and what armour class you would like. There is a button at the bottom that says "Enter." Your heart beats a little bit fast as you look at the button and select your weapon and armour class.
((Respond with what you input, this will take the place of the strife specibus, and I need to know what kind of armour and build you guys plan on doing.))

Wade : Pick your poison
After a good 10 minutes of spinning in your swivel chair with your sweet play gear on, the MMO you've long awaited finally prompts you to select a weapon and armor class. You stop and think. Obviously, you are your own player in this game, right? So what weapons would you pick?
If there's anything the Indie games and triple A's with cult followings have taught you, it's that nothing is more satisfying than beating things into submission with a baseball bat. Yes. of this, you're certain.
You type in Baseball Bat and Hoodie as your weapon and armor class, respectively.

Hart : Take up arms
Pure white floods your vision as the game finally loads up. The game asks for your preferred weapon, you have of course already had one in mind since ordering the game but after viewing your list of choices, (which is far greater then you had preciously imagined) this makes you reconsider.
You skip the practical weapons of a gentlemen such as the sword and shield or rapiers then make your decision. "Well, style over function i always say"

Suzy: Your Grindquest Begins Now You have spent over 15 minutes rolling around a D20 in the game's gear, before you realize it started up a while ago. Almost instantaneously you are prompted to pick a weapon class, and armor type. You think about this for a while before you pick up a random cosplay thing for a weapon from the box of it in your room. Eyes closed you grab something, opening them you have a old cosplay arm from a Genderbent Gottz cosplay. You sigh and decide not to do the same with your armor picking out a large cloak cuz' you might as well go all the way with it. Suzy has chosen ARM and CLOAK as the combo of weapon and armor classes. (also finished the picture, too lazy to scan earlier)

You think you've wasted enough time reading and rereading this list, but there are simply too many great choices. This game already shows extraordinary promise with all this lovely variety. You wonder if it'll have multiple routes, because that is definitely something you'll end up trying to explore all of. After some more deliberation, you finally steel yourself and go for something sensible. Oh yes. Sensible. You excitedly enter Scythe and Scale for your weapon and armor class and wonder if the white room will change soon.

The white room shifts to a small tavern, completely empty, save the bald, muscled barkeep, where you are standing around a table with three others. This is your party, and you can see their health and names at the top left of your vision. You have this opportunity to talk with the party and introduce yourself.

Wade looked around the tavern. It all looked and felt so real. He gave a few firm stomps on the ground, feeling the floorboards beneath his feet.
After readjusting to his virtual environment, he looked arround and found three other people who looked about his age.
"Are... you all players, too?"

Raka: Survey.
This is it. Color was bleeding into the background after the 10 minutes passed. You had entered Scythe and were given something like a kama, which you could totally dig. This is it! You can notice people now, and you wonder if they were all those non-player characters that greeted a player character and threw them through a tutorial. You look around to take in the tavern and suppress your excitement, but the old man was the only one who didn't reveal any information. Maybe he was untargetable? Wait, it seemed the others had already started their dialogue. No, that was wrong. They were actually... talking?
Raka: Mingle before something explodes.
Too late. That one's vocal chords have already broken the air. You jump, before forcing out, "H-hi! Hello! Um." MMORPG. Multi-online. Duh. Her personal inexperience with these games was already showing. "You can call me Raka. I... guess everyone had to wait in a white room and for the countdown too?"

Raka waves her hands to the other girl, "Nnnno no, I'm perfectly fine right now. Don't get me anything." Wade and Hart did bring up something interesting. "...Well, whatever we are or will be, I think that is correct? I can see your names. You can too, right?" Very neatly in the corner of her sight were the names, Hart, Wade, and Suzy.

Wade noticed she was right. His name and health was listed in the top right of his vision, along with those of the rest of his party as well. "Hey, you're right," he said. "I guess we really are a party, then. Or... Jollity."

Hart notices that he might be a bit to exited, he looks at the barkeep who is glaring at him with a "keep your voice down" kinda look. He quickly sits back down. "Heh, sorry for shouting im getting too exited. Ive been waiting for this game for a long time." He gets an idea. "barkeep" he shouts. "drinks for me and my friends!!

Palm, meet forehead. She looked at Suzy for a moment, "Weren't you just seeing what to order though? Anyway, again nothing for me." Raka tried not to sigh, and instead looked at the others more carefully now. Everyone wore something that fit with the... Actually, she didn't know what the game's settings were like. Varied? Futuristic? Medieval? Whatever the case, no one stood out too much... maybe. "Oh, wait. We're all in a party. Together! We're going to be fighting together, isn't that cool? What's everyone's weapons?" the excited spewing started.

Wade could feel the girl's excitement on the subject of weapons. Despite his aunt's proficiency in metalworking, particularly blades, he never found it very interesting.
Wade pulled out the simple wooden bat the game had given him upon game entry. "I chose a Baseball Bat. I was never good with traditional weapons, but at least I've held a bat before," he said.
