Welcome to Skaia Research Ltd., home of the award-winning best-in-class unique unusual hijinks of the developers who patch Sburb.
Wait, no, not the kind of developers you're used to. More like... oh, let's say Troubleshooters? Experience in Sburb is technically optional, but highly recommended, since there is physical combat involved. For our Admins, especially; since Admins are required to do all the legwork in regards to the largest villains and greatest plotlines that Skaianet sees on a regular basis.
Thread 1 Villain: Itchy [status: deceased]
Thread 2 Villain: God-Tier Ultimate Grey King of Skaianet [status: Scratched]
Thread 3 Villain: I'll tell you later, when I've calculated the result [status: small medium at large]

A collaborative notepad suitable for working out extensive posts is located at infinitypedia.ath.cx/pad/p/sburb.

The following items are assigned to each trainee as they come in, assuming they do not already have them:
* Sylladex with eight cards, "basic" model (data structure sylladices such as array, ring, stack, and queue; other ones are available for a small fee)
* Strife deck with two cards (two -kinds). If trainees do not already have an assigned kind abstratus, they are given a low-level weapon of the kind abstratus of their choice. Those who have no preference get fancysantakind.
* Six copies of the standard uniform, correct size, including underclothing
* Linens and towels (Note: Dormitories have basic janitorial/maid service: emptying trash cans, washing clothes and linens, vacuuming, cleaning spills and restrooms.)
* Office and computer.
Food is available in most cafeterias, of a variety great enough that anyone from nearly any world will eventually find something they like.
Death is not permanent in this setting, as employees can be saved and restored in regular "backups". Loss of memories created since the last backup is common; permadeath is extremely uncommon, as if someone is missing for long enough they are automatically revived. "Missing" players tend to be inside the code, in pocket dimensions built upon pocket dimensions inside pocket dimensions trying to search out particularly weird bugs.
(is this true at this time?)
Or inside Skaia Research itself, for that matter. Currently the complex is rebuilding, but the previous floorplan was notorious for its recursive, fractal complexity. Programmable multi-destination transportalizers are the ideal — and eventually only — way to get anywhere, as it's frighteningly easy to get lost in the corridors. In the interim, however, there are things like roller skates, bicycles, golf carts, etc.
And if you have a mental/emotional/etc problem with anything, just ask Kira, she'll fix it for you right quick. She'll fix it with mind control.
Sweet dreams. :3
